The important days overlap and culture, like sports competitions in summer, do not give respite. Europe celebrated the Night of Museums on Saturday and Today it is the turn of the International Day of the same.
One of the star measures is the one celebrated today by the Reina Sofía Museum. In collaboration with Radio 3 and as has been the case for some years, the museum facilities host fifty concerts that take place over 17 hours.
Madrid’s museums are preparing dozens of activities today to celebrate a day that has been commemorated since 1977, when the International Council of Museums created this day. And, although there are many days a year when you can visit them for free, today they will not ask you for money to enter any of these museums.

The concerts of the Reina Sofía
Throughout today, as has been happening edition after edition, the event will include free concerts, a special Radio 3 program live from the museum and a finale starring the station’s DJs on a stage located in the Jardín de Sabatini.
